Associate Dentist

We are looking to hire an experienced Associate Dentist to perform routine and complex dental procedures on patients according to their oral health needs and cosmetic concerns. The Associate Dentist’s responsibilities include developing suitable treatment plans for patients, keeping an accurate record of all appointments, diagnoses, and treatments, and answering patients’ questions. You should also be able to oversee the work of the technical and administrative staff. Additional responsibilities include the following:

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing X-rays and computer-generated imaging to assist with examinations
  • Examining patients' teeth and gums to diagnose and treat various oral health issues
  • Providing dental treatments to patients, including routine cleanings, extractions, dental
  • fillings, cavity, and tooth decay treatments, teeth whitening, bonding, and applications of dental crowns, caps, and veneers
  • Administering local anesthesia to patients as needed
  • Educating patients on good oral hygiene practices and advising them on proper aftercare following certain dental procedures
  • Performing oral cancer screenings
  • Prescribing antibiotics and pain medications to patients as required
  • Ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are sterilized before each use
  • Taking impressions of patients’ mouths for the fabrication of customized mouthguards and dentures

Basic Qualifications

To be successful as an Associate Dentist, you should be able to effectively use all dental instruments and equipment without injuring patients. Ultimately, an exceptional Associate Dentist should demonstrate excellent communication skills and ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times. Additional qualifications include the following:

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD)
  • State license to practice dentistry
  • The ability to use various dental instruments and equipment
  • The ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • The ability to work in a team
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Helpful and polite
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Proficiency using MS Excel, MS Word, and e-mail

To be at the top of our list, you will also have the following preferred qualifications:

  • Comfortable with anterior RCT procedure
  • Experience using Eaglesoft patient management software

Registered Dental Hygienist

Preferred candidates will have the ability to emphasize excellent care, build rapport, and provide patient education as well as exercise excellent infection control. Additional responsibilities include the following:

  • Evaluate patients overall oral health; examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease and lesions
  • Document patient dental history and chief complaint; records and reports pertinent observations and clinical data to dental staff
  • Follow through with oral hygiene procedures by following treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist, which may include: prophylaxis, gingivitis therapy, periodontal maintenance, periodontal scaling and root planning, fluoride treatments, application of protective sealants, and digital imaging (among others)
  • Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment
  • Provides comprehensive patient education based on clinical findings

  • Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) certification
  • Current BLS/CPR certification

Dental Assistant

We have an opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment—directly assisting dentists in the delivery of great dental care to patients, you may be just the person we are looking for. Additional responsibilities include the following:

  • Preparing treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments according to infection control protocols.
  • Taking and preparing x-rays for dentist review and reference using dental radiology standards.
  • Escorting patients to treatment room and preparing patients for the dentist and the applicable procedure(s).
  • Updating patient's medical history
  • Assisting dentist at chair-side in four-handed dentistry techniques; anticipating dentist's needs while at chair-side.
  • Assists Dental Hygienist as needed with charting and set-up/sterilization of hygiene treatment rooms and equipment.
  • Providing patient education as appropriate and encouraging good home oral hygiene.
  • Maintaining safe, clean and organized working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protecting patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
