Front Desk Dental Receptionist

We are looking for a front desk associate to join our team full-time, making you eligible for full benefits—working Monday – Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position is responsible for managing the smooth and efficient flow of patients in and out of the practice, including but not limited to: greeting, communicating, maintaining records, scheduling, collecting payments, and maintaining the appearance and order of dental office. Other duties of the front desk staff include, but is not limited to the following:
- Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience at the front desk
- Greeting and welcoming patients, guests, and visitors to the practice
- Answering and responding to telephone calls with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Completing schedule change requests from patients and doctor teams
- Completing transfer of records requests (inbound and outbound)
- Monitoring all patient correspondence platforms, including email and text
- Updating patient insurance details and contact information
- Collaborating with dental staff to coordinate patient care and treatment plans
- Scheduling proposed treatment, follow-up appointments, and emergency care, as needed
- Complete daily appointment reminder courtesy calls
- General office and administrative tasks and all other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency using MS Excel, MS Word, and e-mail
- Experience with texting and scanning technology
- Strong telephone skills
Interpersonal Skills & Abilities
- Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members
- Candidate’s must be pleasant, positive, outgoing, and have the willingness to go the extra mile to provide an outstanding patient experience.
- Candidates must also have effective problem-solving skills, a strong attention to detail, and be a motivated team player
- Able to adapt to office policy improvements (office is constantly striving for improved customer care/service)
- Customer service or patient relations experience
To be at the top of our list, you will also have the following preferred qualifications:
- Experience using the Eaglesoft software application for all scheduling and charting activities
- Clinical office experience
- Current BLS certification
- Familiarity with dental anatomy and terminology
