No Dental Insurance? No Problem!

Direct Payment Options: Generally, payment is due in full from patients on the day treatment is provided. We accept cash, check, debit cards, and major credit cards (Visa, M/C, Discover, and American Express). You can even make a payment online!

Dental Savings Plan: Here’s how it works: you pay a modest monthly membership fee and all of your regular preventive care is included at no additional cost. That means all the things you would normally have done on your regular visits with your dental hygienist—cleaning or periodontal maintenance, all necessary x-rays, fluoride treatments, doctor’s periodic exam—are covered 100%. In addition to the routine procedures, DenVantage members receive significant savings on a wide range of dental services such as fillings, root canals, crowns, dentures, and much more! Enroll today quickly and easily online! If you want more information, download the brochure here or call the office and we’ll gladly answer any questions you may have.

Employer-Provided Benefits: Be sure to check with your employer, many companies offer Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HAS), allowing you to pay for your care on a pre-tax basis using a simple debit card.

Special short and long-term financing options are available that you may not be able to get with other cards. Once you've applied, you can use it again and again at any location that accepts CareCredit. Find out immediately if you have been approved by using our easy, automated system anytime. Paying for Insurance?

Courtesy Claims Submission: We accept payment from most dental insurance plans and will process your claim to reduce your out of pocket expense and spare you the need to file your own claim with your dental insurance company—gladly submitting claims on your behalf to any primary dental insurances that allow out-of-network providers.

  • In certain circumstances, we will also appeal claims on your behalf and work to ensure you are receiving the maximum benefits allowed, based on the provisions of your dental insurance plan.
  • For patients who want an accurate (not estimated) insurance contribution prior to treatment, we will submit a Pre- Treatment Authorization (a “Pre-Auth”) to your dental plan upon request. Remember: this is still just an estimate and there is NO guarantee of payment from your insurance company!

Paying Your Share: The difference between the estimated insurance contribution (our best estimation, not a guarantee of payment) and the fee for our services is due in full on the day of each visit. Keep in mind that when trying to use your dental insurance, it’s a relationship between the insured (you) and the insurance carrier (the insurance company). Belfast Dental Care is limited to whether or not we can act on your behalf and what information we have access to. When using your dental insurance benefits here, please be aware:

  • If we are unable to estimate the insurance contribution amount, the full fee for our services will be due on the day of the visit.
  • If your insurance pays more than the estimated amount or if payment in full was made prior to receiving an insurance payment, your account will be credited.
  • If your insurance pays less than the estimated contribution or does not pay within 60-days of treatment, you agree to pay the outstanding balance. You have the option of authorizing us to automatically process that payment on your credit/debit card or you will be sent a statement to your address on file.
  • The amount your dental insurance pays for care is based on the plan you have purchased or which is provided by your employer. Dental insurance is NOT designed to cover all your dental needs.
  • In some cases, insurance companies only make reimbursement payments directly to the subscriber (the insured). When this occurs, you agree to pay the full fee for our services on the day of your visit.
