At Belfast Dental Care, our story began in 2014 when Dr. Allison S. Piper took over the practice, continuing the 40-year legacy of Dr. John Slaughter. Why Dentistry?

Dr. Allison S. Piper’s journey into dentistry began with a passion for helping others. Originally exploring several career paths, she discovered her love for dentistry while volunteering as a dental assistant for Boston Healthcare for the Homeless. This experience sparked her dedication to providing personalized, high-quality care.

Since purchasing and renaming Belfast Dental Care in 2014, Dr. Piper has built on the 40-year legacy of Dr. John Slaughter, focusing on excellence in dentistry and creating an exceptional experience for every patient.

Born and raised in the Hudson Valley of New York
Spent summers visiting family in Franklin, Maine
Moved to Belfast in 2012 to be closer to family
Enjoys spending time with family and friends
